Project overview - Amazon A+ Content Design – Fur Freshener for Dogs & Cats

This project involved designing engaging and informative A+ Content for a pet fur freshening spray targeted at dog and cat owners. The goal was to present the product as safe, soothing, and essential for pet hygiene — while evoking an emotional bond between pet and owner. The A+ layout combines benefit-focused storytelling, lifestyle visuals, and icon-based features that appeal to both pet lovers and practical buyers.

Project challenge, solution & result

Creating A+ content for a grooming product in the pet care category required addressing concerns like safety, gentleness, and effectiveness — while also capturing the love and warmth pet owners feel for their animals. The final design achieved a clean, trustworthy presentation that highlights core features, emotional connection, and product usability — both visually and contextually.

Designing for a sensitive-use product like a fur spray for pets brings unique creative challenges. The visuals had to build trust, communicate freshness, and appeal to the emotions of pet owners — all within Amazon’s design limitations.

Communicating Pet Safety & Gentleness

Pet owners are highly cautious about what they use on their pets’ fur and skin. It was crucial to show that the spray is gentle, toxin-free, and vet-approved, using clean iconography, soft background tones, and positive pet imagery.

Explaining Invisible Benefits (like calming scent or softening effect)

The product offers lavender-based calming properties and skin-softening effects — benefits that can’t be shown directly. We solved this with visual metaphors (e.g., lavender fields, relaxed pet expressions) and focused textual support.

Building an Emotional Connection with Pet Owners

The core emotion behind this product is the love people feel for their pets. We needed to reflect this visually through hug moments, joyful expressions, and cozy settings, creating a feeling of warmth and trust in every image.

Optimizing Layout for Mobile & Desktop

The content had to retain its visual clarity across all screen sizes. This meant bold headlines, modular icon sections, and carefully spaced text to ensure the message worked whether viewed on a desktop or phone.

To solve the above challenges, the design focused on trust-building visuals, soft color tones, emotional storytelling, and benefit-based structuring.

Clean, Natural Aesthetic

Soft greens, whites, and lavender accents were used throughout the layout to communicate nature, calmness, and cleanliness — making the product appear both safe and premium.

Feature-Driven Design

Key features like “reduces shedding,” “keeps fur soft,” and “pet-safe formula” were shown using clean, modern icons paired with minimal copy — so even skimmers got the message instantly.

Real Pet & Owner Lifestyle Shots

We incorporated photos of owners hugging and playing with their pets, helping buyers imagine their own experience with the product — emotionally reinforcing purchase motivation.

The final design successfully presented the fur freshener as a safe, soothing, and must-have pet care product. It told a story not just of function, but of love, bonding, and care.
